AutoSizer: Product photos sized for every marketplace

AutoSizer is a browser-first image resizer for marketplace sellers. AL Phesda Interactive designed and built it as a live consumer product: marketing site, account and billing, in-browser processing, platform presets, thumbnail-safe crops, ZIP download, and a REST API for Solo members.

The job is one sellers already hate. Every platform wants a different size. Etsy grids clip the top of a listing photo. AutoSizer applies the exact dimensions, keeps the product in frame, and hands back a ZIP ready to upload.

The brief

Sellers should not keep a spreadsheet of pixel sizes. They should pick Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, Instagram, Pinterest, or eBay, drop in photos, and leave with files that match that platform. Processing should run on the device so the free plan does not pay a cloud image bill, and photos should not sit on a server longer than the job needs.

That brief needed a full product: sign-in, a three-step Process flow, saved presets, daily free quota, Stripe Solo at $2 a month, API keys, and SEO landers for each marketplace. Thumbnail-safe crop

Etsy crop is the proof. Grid thumbnails cut the top of a listing photo. AutoSizer adds smart padding so the product stays in frame. A before and after slider on the homepage shows the clip versus the padded result. AI smart cropping sits on the Solo plan.

Process in the browser

Step 1 of 3 is the product. Pick a platform from twelve presets including Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and general purpose. Drop JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF, BMP, or SVG. Tick the variants you need: main listing, thumbnail-safe padding, social square, 4:3, shop banner. Save the mix as a preset.

The free plan is 5 images per day. Processing runs on the device so the quota does not burn cloud image cost. Download is a ZIP.

Accounts that match the product

Sign-in is email and password, Google, or Apple. The split layout restates the offer on the left and the form on the right so a returning seller does not lose the reason they came.

Solo plan and API

Free covers getting started. Solo is $2 a month for unlimited browser processing, REST API access, and AI smart crop via the Solo API when Vision is enabled. API keys live in the dashboard: generate up to five keys, revoke them, and jump to the docs. Keys require an active Solo subscription.

Technical architecture

• Frontend: Next.js App Router on Vercel. Marketing site, Process dashboard, History, Downloads, Presets, Billing, and Docs share one product.
• Processing: Browser-side resize and crop for the free and Solo web flow, so images stay on the device and the free plan has no cloud image cost.
• Privacy: Browser Process never uploads the file for the job. Cloud and Solo API images are stored temporarily and cleaned after about two days when retention is enabled. Images are not shared with third parties.
• Payments: Stripe for Solo at $2 a month. Free plan of 5 images per day with all platforms, presets, and ZIP download.
• API: REST keys for Solo members, capped at five active keys, with documentation on the same product.
